BIOGRAPHY
Ted and Linda (Love) Riddle are announcing the publication of their new book, “True-to-Life Western Story: No Lookin’ Back”, from Page Publishing of New York City. Ted Riddle, was born and raised near Red Rock, OK. He is an OSU graduate, and became a cattle rancher and wheat farmer.

Ted is past president of the Oklahoma Chapter of the American Agriculture Movement and worked at the OGE power plant for several years. He also became a superintendent for an electrical company and built sub stations and wind farms. His sister Elaine Hughes and her husband, Gary are longtime Ponca City residents.
Linda Riddle was a longtime Tonkawa resident, owned Daylight Donut Shop for many years, is an award winning artist and an avid Buccaneer fan. She also enjoyed writing a column for the Tonkawa News. Linda was Ted’s project coordinator on jobs throughout the midwest. This saga was brought to life early one Sunday morning in Tonkawa, where the authors lived. Ted sat straight up in bed and said, “I know how I died”. That woke Linda. His story flowed in such a way, it brought tears and laughter to her. She grabbed a yellow pad and pencil and began writing. Soon she found a tape recorder and began recording this adventure.
his was not a dream. The tone of his voice was different and even the dialogue was strange, as Ted continued well into the morning.
Later, when they realized that this gift had to be published, Ted asked Linda to add the sunsets and the eagles flying. She went to libraries as they traveled, even to Alaska twice, with their work and researched for facts for the book.
She took pictures of locations where the story took place and drew illustrations. Names of their family members and friends were added, many from Tonkawa as the story developed. The story begins during the Civil War, when Thomas Summers and his brother John, join the Union Army. As Ted continues with his tale, he even knows the name of his wife, children, places and events. He knows how he lived, so that is the first chapter. The journey takes Tom and the reader through many life-threatening adventures,

Absolutely loved this book. I haven’t read a book in over twenty years. I did some work for the Riddle’s last spring and was intrigued to hear about this book. So i ordered it.. Truly amazing.

I know these authors and was excited to read their book. I am typically not a fan of western stories. I like adventure and mystery. This story, however, is full of history, adventure, love, war and tragedy.

What a great read, really takes you back the way it was in the old west, once you start reading its really hard to put down, hope the author comes back with another related book. Hope this book makes the best seller list.
